My all time travel song.
The weirdest place i’ve heard the beautiful, reassuring melodies was in Mostar – Bridgekeeper, Bosnia and Herzegovina, by the old bridge – Stari Most, the stone bathed in that beautiful orange light by late night.
It was past midnight as I sat myself down on some steps, in front of an old shoplot with white stone steps worn smooth and wooden shutters, in the old goldsmith’s area of the town.
I stopped an old man along the way,
Hoping to find some old forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to me as if to say, Hurry boy, It’s waiting there for you
